# Start, Stop, and Pause your campaign

> Learn how to start, stop, and pause your campaign in Ellis

Manage your campaign status in ellis.

## Prereqs

You have saved your prompt.

## Start

Once you're happy with the output of your prompt you can start your campaign. Go to the campaign settings and
click start and emails will start going out!

As long as the campaign has the 'active' tab, emails are getting sent out.

Once the campaign has run out of prospects, the campaign will remain active but you won't see any activity.

## Pause

If you want to pause the campaign for any reason you can go to the settings page and click pause. Emails will stop
sending immediately and no more emails will be generated. Once you unpause it will take some time for emails to start
sending again.
